Note:
Thermogravimetric systems operating in the medium-high enthalpy range have been considered. The working fluid is the perfuorocarbon PP 50 coupled with different liquid metals with high density and relatively low melting point, such as lead, zinc or tin, operating as carrier fluids. A regenerated hypercritical cycle has been used. Minimum temperature Tmin = 60 °C, two-phase duct diameter DT-PD = 1000 mm and liquid superficial velocity VLS = 1.2 m/s are fixed. According to the liquid metal and to different values of maximum temperature Tmax , trends for the plant height Z, power W, hydraulic and overall efficiency ? hy and ? o have been drawn.
