Many of the buildings existing today will still be there in the city of the future, thanks to successive refurbishrnent campaigns undertaken by people wbo are aware that the utilisation value of a building can be preserved.

In order to facilitate their task, the development of a refurbishment methodology imposed ìtself. The new concept developed by the European EPIQR project will give architects a global view of the renovation requirements of housing and help them approach the task of preserving the utilisation value of our building stock in an optimal manner.
