A hybrid fluctuation splitting scheme for cascade flows

This paper provides an accurate and robust hybrid fluctuation splitting scheme for the two-dimensional compressible Euler equations. The approach uses three different residual distribution schemes applied to two different sets of equations, depending on the local nature of the flow, to obtain optimal performance with respect to accuracy, robustness and shock capturing capability. Tbe method provides second-order-accurate solutions for subsonic, transonic and supersonic flows, captures shocks monotonically, and does not encounter any convergence difficulty.
