Heat transfer enhancement between a vertical wall and an air up-flow destabilised by submerged jets

The present research represents a basic study to optimize the wall cooling by means of pulsating jets.
The experimental research, consists in the increase evaluating of the heat transfer coefficient between a vertical wall, heated by Joule effect, and an air up-flow by natural convection destabilized by small pulsating submerged jets. The jets blow out perpendicularly from the wall surface. A hot wire anemometer was used to found information about the air velocity field. The parameters which maximise the convective heat exchange have been computed.
