2D thermal modelling of a rotating cylinder heated by friction

We present in this paper the distribution of temperatures in a cylinder rotating at several angular velocities. The heating produced by friction is modelled by a heat flux density q on a part of its external surface which corresponds on a strip along the cylinder defined by an angle φ that can take different values. A constant temperature T0 is imposed to the remaining surface.
