Note:
This work relates the theoretical study of the dynamic behaviour of a Dual Free-Piston Stirling Engine (DFPSE) coupled with an asynchronous linear alternator. According to the needs thermal energy and electricity, the levels of temperature in the engine will vary. We will study the design of a miniature Stirling engine as well as the optimum parameters for a 1 kW recuperation of mechanical energy. Despite the conceptual simplicity, the design of a DFPSE is difficult because it is necessary to take into account various efforts like the geometric, dynamic and thermodynamic variables. The developed model may be used to simulate theoretically the dynamic and thermodynamic variables. The developed model may be used to simulate theoretically the dynamic behaviour of a built engine. It is also possible to choose the engine design parameters to ensure a periodic steady state.
