Note:
We have been developed a pulse detonation turbine engine, and the effects of the various parameters on the turbine shaft output and state of operation. Because the burned gas, which has shock waves, flows into the turbine in the pulse detonation engine, the shock wave should be relaxed for better durability and efficiency of the turbine.
In the present study, the shock diffuser, which diffuses the shock wave geometrically, was equipped ahead of the turbine, and the effects on the turbine shaft output and the state of operation were investigated. We also investigated that the controllability of the averaged turbine-inlet temperature by changing the quantity of the detonable mixture filled in the combustor in one cycle.
