In this paper the performance and the emissions of HEV taking into account a real driving cycle through the city of Rome. The simulations are performed by means of AVL CRUISE software with some submodels, processed in the main code, that have been developed by the authors both for control strategies and driving cycles. Particular emphasis has been put on the effect of the control strategy of powertrain on the vehicle performance.
