Numerical prediction of metal temperature and heat transfer of gas turbine vane

This paper presents a numerical analysis of a first stator blade based on a simulation tool which studies the heat transfer in the cooling system coupled with a thermal 2D FEM solver for metal conduction in several blade-to-blade sections. Metal temperatures, heat fluxes and other parameters are investigated in design operating conditions and changing coolant features in a sensitivity analysis.
