Analysis of the peach bottom 2 BWR Turbine trip experiment by RELAP5/3.2 code

This paper presents results of application of RELAP5/Mod3.2 system thermalhydraulic code in predicting the Peach Bottom Boiling Water Reactor Turbine Trip test number 2. In this framework, a reference case was run, and the results were confronted with experimental data. The overall comparison shows good agreement between calculation and experiment. A series of sensitivity analyses were also performed in order to assess the code prediction features, as well as to identify uncertainty related to the adopted themalhydraulic parameters used for the plant modelization as well as the test initial and boundary conditions.
