Note:
Although it is well-known that lower energy consumption and associated CO2 emissions bring many benefits, it seems that these factors do not play a sufficiently important role in the non-residential buildings sector on the part of either sellers/ buyers or landlords/ tenants in purchasing or renting. In order to engage the stakeholders towards the goal of achieving EU energy and climate targets, it is necessary to employ and promote objective evidence of realised construction and energy-related renovation and its quality, using the instrument of the EPC. This joint session addressed the challenges and possible solutions for energy efficient renovations with a focus on non-residential buildings.
