Following the comments of the European Commission as laid down in their recent letter (document N 058), many people have asked me what the repercussions on the timing of our work would be. The EC in fact requests CEN to halt any further publication internally or externally until after the finalization of the Comitology process around March 2010. Although the CEN rules demand us to supply our enquiry text in January 2010, they also contain a process for extension.
