This European standard specifies requirements for in-situ formed sprayed polyurethane foam (PUR) products for the insulation of building equipment and industrial installations. [Drafting Note. This covers the applications listed in Mandates 19,20, 22 and 23, i.e. storage vessels, pipes and ducts used for the supply of fuels, oil, other liquids, hot and cold water, air and other gases.] NOTE. PUR includes polyisocyanurate (PIR) products.This Part 1 of the standard is a specification for the rigid foam system before installation.Part 1 of this European Standard describes the product characteristics and it includes procedures for testing, marking and labelling and the rules for evaluation of conformity.This Standard does not specify the required level of all properties that should be achieved by a product to demonstrate fitness for purpose in a particular application. The required levels are to be found in regulations or non-conflicting standards.This Standard does not include internally applied insulation in the en-uses described above.This European Standard does not include factory made polyurethane rigid foam insulation products.This Standard does not specify performance requirements for direct airborne sound insulation and acoustic absorption applications.
