Note:
A table prepared by Dr. Richard Knobloch from the German Steel Institute, summarising the
mechanical properties and testing requirements for several of the most common low-alloy steels
used for pressure vessels, is also attached. This table could be used as a starting document where
interested manufacturers could, for instance, propose modified parameters or insert new materials
etc. The WG will then combine these proposals and send the information to the relevant ECISS TCs
for further discussion.
