The market share for heating systems in buildings includes the following products and services: „h hardware products like heat generators, pipes, pumps, fittings, controls, insulation, heat emitters, cogeneration units, district heating stations, etc., „h software products for design of systems and for calculation of heat load and annual energy requirements, „h services for design, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of heating systems. Under the assumption that heat emitters account for approx. 20 % of the total system costs, the total market share of heating systems in buildings should be approx. 12.500.000.000 EURO (1999).
