The presented paper shows the steps of the joint burner development for the V64.3A gas turbine. This joint development programme performed by Siemens/Ansaldo resulted in a revised hybrid (HR) burner suitable for premix combustion of both fuel oil and natural gas. The well proven features of the hybrid burner technology of Siemens have been maintained.
