Note:
This paper proposes the full 3D simulation of a commercial hydraulic proportional valve and the experimental tests needed to validate the numerical predictions. The aim of this research activity is the development of a computational strategy capable of recognizing all 3D geometrical details and thus of recovering the entire performance diagrams of the valve with negligible discrepancies with respect to the experimental curves.
