Collana: AA - 1996 Capri - Energy and Environment towards the year 2000
Note:
The paper starts from the idea of a special rotating case-work, as branch of the combustion chamber, marking a sort of pressure-balance, targeted to achieve a real upheval of the cycle, namely a softer combustion development quite efter T.D.C., not involving any efficiency drop. The “octane requirement” might then be less and so the rise of “nitrogen oxides”.
Here some meaningful innovative cycles are simulated and compared with a traditional cycle, as starting bench mark, with regard to a special “working factor”, fixed as criterion indicative of an “anti-knock” quality.
