Note:
This lecture considers the design and application of advanced 3D Navier-Stokes solvers. Both structured mesh and solution-adaptive unstructured mesh approaches are covered; application are made to both steady and unsteady flows. The emphasis in the lecture is on the physical background to the construction of successful flow solver. Sample applications are presented to demonstrate the power of CFD in elucidating information about a varuiety of topical turbomachinery flowfields.
