Note:
We proposed a new way of increasing the Seebeck coefficient while decreasing thermal conductivity by designing a superlattice composed of one layer for increasing the Seebeck coefficient and the other layer for decreasing thermal conductivity. InGaAIAs is used in one layer of the superlattice to increase S using heterostructure thermionic emission. ErAs:InGaAs is used as the other layer for scattering phonons thereby decreasing thermal conductivity of the superlattice.
