Collana: CA - 61 - Perugia 2006

Note:
Over the last years several new components and systems for solar heating and photovoltaic have been developed. While for PV systems several R&D activities for building integration have been carried out, mostly due to their technological aspects, DHW solar systems are still waiting for such effective use. In fact, solar thermal has to functionally interact with traditional heating/cooling systems, and at the same time appropriate strategies for plants integration with building architecture have to be developed, either in order to design retrofit or new installations.
In this paper some paradigmatic realizations have been analyzed from a technical-constructive point of view. Also, integration aspects have been carefully taken into account for the different parts of the building system, and a comparative study of thermodynamic advantages/disadvantages coming from different building integration solutions has been carried out. In particular, the proposed study has been referred to: I) technology; II) integration with functional components of building system; III) exposition; IV) colour.
