This paper deals with a detailed computational study of the first stage vane and blade of the Ansaldo Energia V64.3A gas turbine. In order to describe the film-cooling influence on the main velocity and thermal flow, the real and complex film-cooling hole distribution on the blade wall has been simulated. Numerical results have been also achieved for different tip clearence configurations, revealing the great importance of this parameter on the whole flow field and, specifically, the tip leakage losses effects. The computational code results have been compared with other numerical data derived from the TDF bidimensional through flow code.
