In this paper, an original TVD flow solver is proposed for two-dimensional compressible Navier-Stokes equations discretized on unstructured triangular meshes. Local time-stepping and implicit residual smoothing are used in order to accelerate the convergency to the steady-state solution. Several examples (laminar subsonic and supersonic flows over a NACA0012 airfoil at low and high Reynolds numbers) are here presented to validate the reliability of the proposed methodology by comparison with results available in the literature. Finally, flow computations in turbomachinery cascades are also presented to attest the capability of the methodology.
