Note:
At the Energetic Building Laboratory of Calabria University an experimental solar plant is operating, opportunely monitored, able to furnish in real time all the operating parameters.
The plant is of the type of two tanks, with the solar tank connected to the solar collectors through a heat exchanger, and a second tank connected to a radiant floor and a gas boiler for the heat integration.
The radiant floor heats a Testing Station of dimensions 4x4x3 m. A control system guarantees the operation of the solar system and of the gas boiler at constant internal air temperature and allows to maintain constant the temperature of the water supplied to the radiant floor.
In this paper the preliminary experimental results of the solar-assisted radiant floor heating system are presented, with the aim of estimating the energy saving. Moreover, comparisons between the experimental data and the predictions of a transient simulation code of the plant are discussed.
