With resolution BT C41/2009, BT created CEN/TC 399 “Project Committee - Gas turbines” and asked the project committee to submit its programme of work to CEN/BT for approval. In January 2010, the CEN/TC 399 passed a resolution (see Annex 1 to BT N 8359) to create work item to adopt ISO 21789: 2009 Gas turbine applications — Safety to provide a global minimum acceptable level of safety for the gas turbines industry. CEN/TC 399 will draft the Annexes Z relating to the ATEX, Machinery and Pressure Equipment Directives.
